Running
Tips and routes for relaxed city runs – day and night.
Running in the city promises variety and flexibility. With the right technique, equipment and choice of route, busy city runs can also be really fun. Discover how to enjoy a safe and efficient jog in the city.
The city offers runners a wide choice of pedestrian zones, neighbourhood streets and parks. But tarmac and traffic are challenging. However, with the right preparation and technique, running in the city can be an enjoyable experience. But what's the most important consideration when running on asphalt?
Paved surfaces strain the knees and joints more than soft surfaces. This joint-friendly running technique helps to reduce the strain.
Optimal posture.
The correct running posture is upright with a slight forward lean. Take short steps to avoid incorrect posture and pain in your back and joints.
Avoid loud music or headphones without ambient mode so that you can hear noises such as approaching cars etc. in good time.
