Giovanni Liverani, CEO of the Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) business unit, says: “On the basis of our organisational and strategic direction in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, we’ve completed the Management Board for our DACH business unit. I’m delighted that we’ve been able to fill the key executive positions with international managers from within the Generali Group. As the Generali Group’s second largest business unit, with EUR 19.4 billion in premiums, we are combining the strengths of all three national sales companies thanks to this team, unlocking new potential and driving the implementation of our Lifetime Partner 24: Driving Growth strategy that aims to continue our sustainable, profitable growth.”

Katrin Gruber (54) assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer for DACH. As Chief Risk Officer, Gruber was previously responsible for both DACH (on an interim basis) and Generali Germany. She will also become Chief Business Performance Officer of Generali Germany.

Marcela Středová (46) assumes Gruber’s previous responsibilities on the DACH Management Board, as well as the role of Chief Risk Officer in Germany. Středová has worked for the Generali Group since 2008, most recently as Chief Risk Officer and Head of Actuarial Function at Generali CEE Holding in Prague.

Jean-Pierre Schmid (59), Chief Human Resources and Organisation Officer for DACH, will also assume the same role in Germany. He succeeds Dr Robert Wehn, who was appointed to the role of Chief IT, Digital and Operations Officer for DACH in early November. In addition, as of 1 January, he will take up the role of Chief Operating Officer in Germany, which he has held on an interim basis since November
