Generali is strengthening communities in Switzerland

  • On 2 September, Generali begins its “Strengthening what makes you strong” campaign and is calling for community cohesion.
  • It is seeking projects that bring regional communities together.
  • The ten projects with the greatest positive impact on the community will receive start-up grants of CHF 1,000. One of the projects will also be awarded the audience prize worth CHF 10,000.

Adliswil – Whether it involves introducing children to art in an age-appropriate manner or creating a community garden that spans generations, the “Strengthening what makes you strong” campaign from Generali Switzerland is calling on people to submit their community projects.

Being part of a strong community is supportive, encouraging and comforting. With “Strengthening what makes you strong”, Generali Switzerland wants to have a positive impact on social cohesion in Switzerland.

Everyone can take part – it all starts on 2 September

Anyone residing in Switzerland is welcome to submit community projects. The first wave of the campaign starts on 2 September 2024. All other information and the conditions of participation are available here.

Focus on regional sport, art, culture and nature

The campaign aims to promote a sense of community among the Swiss population and demonstrate ways in which each and every individual can get involved in improving cohesion. As sport, art, culture and nature have the greatest impact on this objective, the projects submitted should be clearly related to these four areas. And they must also be appropriate for regional implementation, for regional impact.

Prestigious panel will select projects

A panel consisting of our ambassador, singer and songwriter Luca Hänni, our successful runners and Olympians, Dominic Lobalu and Tadesse Abraham, and Luis Bosshard – our Generali representative – will select the ten projects with the greatest positive impact on the community. These will each receive a start-up grant of CHF 1,000.

One of the projects will also have a chance of winning the audience prize worth CHF 10,000. This will be selected by the public via online voting. We will personally present the cheque to the winner in November, together with Luca Hänni.

Community always at the forefront

As with all of Generali Switzerland’s commitments – to running, to music and to culture – the focus is always on developing and promoting communities. Whether this is through shared sporting activities with our running family, our music promotion programme, Lion Kids by Generali, or emotional experiences at festivals and concerts. And now also through our “Strengthening what makes you strong” campaign.
